Priced Jul 25 · none clears both capsFifteen routes were priced as exact-date round trips with all seven DC seats selected, then the Phoenix leg was priced separately. Three filters apply: 8 hours or less each way, $650 or less per person from both origins, and seven seats actually available. One destination clears all three.
Before you commit to it
Passports. All eight travelers need valid passports. With the trip under six weeks out, routine processing no longer fits, so anyone without a current book is a hard blocker no matter what the fare says.
Lodging is unverified. Only the flights were checked. There is no confirmed eight-adult house in Mexico City yet, so treat it as flights-only until someone prices a real listing.
Seat inventory bites. Puerto Vallarta and Panama City both price fine at four seats and return nothing at seven. Any international booking for this group has to be checked at the full seven before anyone pays.
The comparison. Mexico City costs about $298 more per person in airfare than Chicago and gives up the four-night house setup. It buys a passport stamp and a genuinely different weekend, not a cheaper one.
Plan it
Budget, priorities, and the group decisionAirfare and lodging use the verified Jul 25 quotes, split eight ways. Ground transport and activity ranges are planning estimates built from the operator prices listed on each destination card; food and drink is whatever you set above.
Cost is scored from the budget tab, so changing food or activity level re-ranks the list. Every other score comes from the research already on this page.
